• About Us

We believe in the power of research to teach us how we can change our relationship with the environment, so we all have a more beautiful, sustainable place to live.

Our Vision

When our president Jane Peters founded Research Into Action, she intended to use research to improve and expand efforts to increase clean energy use and reduce energy and natural resource consumption. Jane’s vision permeates the work we do for our clients, and the daily fabric of life at work, from choosing a LEED® certified building, to hosting regular lunch and learns and having an active green team.

She also carries her philosophy of taking sustainable actions into her own home.

The People Make the Place

Our leadership team includes a seasoned mix of social scientists, behavioral psychologists, economists, market researchers, and marketers. Collectively, we have worked with clean energy and environmental programs for more than 25 years and are recognized thought leaders. We have extensive quantitative and qualitative research knowledge, are familiar with all aspects of environmental program research and evaluation and understand the relationship of energy to climate change.

Our Energy-Efficient Workplace

We value integrity above all else, which is why we walk our own talk every day. At Research Into Action, we conserve resources in our office and individually in our day-to-day practices.

We Live Sustainably
