Jun brings more than 13 years of experience in market research and evaluation of energy-efficiency and sustainability programs. During his 10 years of tenure at Research Into Action, Jun’s work has emphasized survey research projects that require large sample sizes, complex methodologies and advanced statistical analysis.
Jun plays an instrumental role on the quantitative analysis team by ensuring sound survey methodology accompanies all data collection and improving question design to maximize reliability and validity of survey and interview data. He also employs modern and emerging data collection techniques, including multi-mode and mobile approaches, to optimize results. Jun has contributed to and managed energy-efficiency research projects across all key sectors, ranging from residential baseline studies to large portfolio evaluations and demand response programs. Previously, he directed research projects for SMS Research, a leading research and consulting company in Hawaii and the Pacific Rim, working with clients from industry, government, and nonprofit sectors.
Jun holds a Master of Public Administration from Monterey Institute of International Studies and a B.S. in business administration from Aichi University in Japan. Most recently, he received training in advanced statistics and survey methodologies from Portland State University’s Urban Studies doctoral program.
