Ryan Bliss, M.A.
Ryan has more than 35 years of research and analysis experience; he has specialized in energy efficiency and renewable energy since 2007. He holds an M.A. in child psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. in psychology from Cornell University.
Ryan directs all aspects of market research and evaluation projects, from conception to final presentation of results, including budgeting, work plan development, and management of staff and subcontractors.
He formulates high-level plans for prospective research and detailed analysis plans for survey data already in hand. He conducts in-depth interviews and directs survey planning, instrument development, sampling, and data collection and analysis.
Prior to joining Research Into Action, he had more than 20 years of experience: as an analyst on National Institutes of Health-funded social and health research for Harvard University, the Veterans Administration, and Midwest Research Institute; as a biostatistician at a private research firm in Maryland; and as a research consultant for several university faculty members in Bangkok, Thailand.
When he has free time, he enjoys hiking, skiing, and touring exotic locales. He never turns down good food or fine wine, and has been known to juggle.
