In 2012-2013, Research Into Action is leading a team that is conducting process and impact evaluations of Ontario Power Authority's Consumer Program for the 2011 and 2012 program years. The four programs, which are grouped under the saveONenergy brand, are: HVAC Incentives Initiative, Midstream Incentives (pool pumps and TVs and set-top boxes), Appliance Retirement/Appliance Exchange, and the Instant Coupon Booklet and Bi-Annual Retailer Event Initiative. The project involves close coordination of data collection, analysis, and reporting in order to address program-specific and cross-program and marketing effects. We also are conducting a longitudinal market awareness study; and will estimate the programs' non-energy benefits, attribution, free-ridership, net-to-gross savings, greenhouse gas effects, and direct employment effects.
