In 2011 and 2012, Research Into Action was part of a team, led by NMR Group, to help the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) make progress toward its goal of improving and ensuring the understanding, transparency, and credibility of electric and gas energy efficiency resources implemented in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions. Specifically, Research Into Action identified definitions for adjusted gross savings, net savings, and other indicators used to measure progress toward achievement of the goals for commercial and industrial programs. Working with NMR Group and the NEEP steering committee, the project identified the extent to which the policy goals and measurement parameters are aligned and made recommendations for common definitions and future research.
