Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance/Ecotope
In 2012, Research Into Action continued its subcontract with Ecotope, Inc. about the evolving ductless heat pump (DHP) market in the Pacific Northwest. We gathered feedback from participants with metered DHPs and the installers who installed them about their experiences and satisfaction with the DHP equipment and their usage behaviors. We will compare this information to the metering data. In particular, we focused on the DHP installations that did not replace single-family zonal electric heating, such as multifamily, commercial, and forced air furnace (FAF) installations in single-family and manufactured homes.
