Project: Evaluation of the Program for Enhanced Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement in the Columbia Basin

Bonneville Power Administration

The Bonneville Power Administration provided funding to a consortium of agencies in a four-state region to ensure sufficient law enforcement activities were conducted in the Columbia Basin to protect native fish and wildlife populations. The evaluation examined the effectiveness of the program using a multifaceted strategy, including interviews with agency staff, statistical analysis of biological and program performance data, and focus groups with affected populations. The evaluation team included specialists in biology, law enforcement, public education, and program evaluation.
