Project: Verification of Natural Gas DSM Energy Savings
Avista Utilities
Working with our subcontractor, Nexant, Inc., we conducted independent verifications of Avista Utilities' natural gas demand-side-management savings in the residential, limited-income, and nonresidential sectors. We reviewed paper documentation of the sampled cases to verify that input data used to calculate therms saved on a case-by-case basis were correct, conducted an engineering review of the assumptions upon which therm savings calculations were based, and calculated therm savings on a case-by-case basis using assumptions from Avista or our independent engineering review. Our final report compiled data from our 2006, 2007, and 2008 verification projects.
