Between 1999 and 2005, Research Into Action conducted three market progress evaluations of the effectiveness of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance's (NEEA) efforts to transform the microelectronics industry in the Pacific Northwest. Several project approaches were used, and were evaluated per their own criteria. Research activities included interviews with key market actors in each market segment, onsite observation of projects, and reviews of industry-specific data and secondary data sources to forecast market conditions. The final report, published in June 2005, addressed progress in the nine project areas and NEEA's overall microelectronics effort.
